Firefox
Like many I thought Firefox as just as any normal browser before my encounter with Firefox club in my college.Previously I used it only as a browser. But after joining the club in my college I learnt that there's more to Firefox than just a browser. It's not just a browser,it's a community.
Like many I thought Firefox as just as any normal browser before my encounter with Firefox club in my college.Previously I used it only as a browser. But after joining the club in my college I learnt that there's more to Firefox than just a browser. It's not just a browser,it's a community.
Firefox introduced me to whole new concept and i.e. open source.
First when I have heard of it(as it was a complete a new concept for me then) I was taken back.It was developed by volunteers all over the world for building a safe and secured internet but not just for money.Though at first I was not that impressed by the concept but later on,that simple and single concept changed my point of view or my perception at looking things differently. At first I never understood as why would someone give their code or their hard work access to all. Then I learnt that "there's much more important than money in this world".
Thanks to Firefox and to my club in my college I made my first app in my life, and ya the first moments are always special so as this. The first app I did was a simple, basic, static app using html and was titled-Dance Forms. The app contained the information related to different dance forms in India and their respective images. And no,I'm not a pro dancer,I do OK.Now I'm working on my second project.
The things that made me fall in love with Firefox is
- it is simple and fast
- open source
- safe and secure.
Then came Firefox app days in our college-the first of it's kind.Everyone in the club worked hard and the work was divided among the members.I designed the t-shirts for the event and the guy wearing the t-shirt bearing "R" is me.The experience taught me many things. It was quite an experience.
Last but not least Firefox taught me a lot things and left me with great experiences.
